In another thread, I mentioned to Justbasbeall that we should form a 14u team (2007 season)comprised of the members kids. Obviously it wouldn't work but I am curious how many kids at that age we do have. My son has faced another forumer's son this past summer at USSSA Nationals so who else do we have out there???

Lil Beezer - RHP, 3B, SS, 1B, OF

Who knows....maybe somebody will start a 13u team. If not, I don't see why he couldn't "play up". Now if we could officially get JBB to sign up his son....
So let's recap what we've got so far:

Lil Beezer - 5'11" 145lb RHP, 3B, SS, 1B, OF
mdbaseball10 Jr. - SS/RHP/2B
bkecks Jr. - C, 1B, SS and RHP
Young HiHeat - RHP mostly. some CF, some MI and C. Bats left. ("Get's dirty")
Skinny D - SH, SS/2B. ("Jackrabbit" speed)
Littlepapi - SS, RHP. ("5 tool player")
3FingeredGlove Jr - LHP
IrishSon - RHP, 1B

Potential 13U's playing up

BBfam Jr - P
Lil RedBird - C

From what you said in another thread I'm guessing your son plays with the Starmaker Stingrays. My son played against Starmaker at Las Vegas over Halloween 2003. That was a fun tourney that year.

Biggerpapi
Looks from your pictures that you and I were in Omaha at the same time except my boy played division 2. Looks like your team had a strong tourney run and got to play more games than most.
bkekcs, we did have a pretty good week out there. Went 1-2 in pool play (should have been 2-1) and ended up in the consolation bracket (top 25 go in the champ. bracket and bottom 22 or so when into consol). We ended up in 2nd place of consolation.

That is an awesome tournament and we're going again in '07. Got to play some great teams from TX, WA, CA and CO.
Well, I see some of our team parents are mingling and getting along. Big Grin

MDBaseball - The MudDawgs were decent I guess. We only beat them 2-1 but it was far from a good effort on our part. We struggled offensively the entire tourney and I think we were conserving pitching for later rounds. But they seemed like a pretty solid team, probably the best MD team there.

Beast - Is the Dallas player your son? If we're having a hypothetical team, I'd like to keep the roster of forumer's kids before we go off hypotetically stacking our team. Wink
Things are looking pretty good. So far we've got:

Lil Beezer - 5'11" 145lb RHP, 3B, SS, 1B, OF
mdbaseball10 Jr. - SS/RHP/2B
bkecks Jr. - C, 1B, SS and RHP
Young HiHeat - RHP mostly. some CF, some MI and C. Bats left. ("Get's dirty")
Skinny D - SH, SS/2B. ("Jackrabbit" speed)
Littlepapi - SS, RHP. ("5 tool player")
3FingeredGlove Jr - LHP (Elite 24 player)
IrishSon - RHP, 1B
Jeff Connell's kid - 6'2" LHP, 1B (USSSA Nationals All Tourney player)
JBB Jr IV - RHP, 3B (Awesome bloodlines)

Potential 13U's playing up

BBfam Jr - P
Lil RedBird - C

Looking at them by position:

RHP - Lil Beezer, MDBaseball Jr, bkecks Jr, Young HiHeat, LittlePapi, IrishSon, JBB Jr IV, BBFam Jr
LHP - 3FingeredGlove Jr, JC's Kid
C - bkecks Jr, Young HiHeat, Lil RedBird
1B - Lil Beezer, bkecks Jr, IrishSon, JC's Kid
2B - MDBaseball Jr, Skinny D, Young HiHeat
SS - Lil Beezer, MDBaseball Jr, bkecks Jr, Young HiHeat, Skinny D, Littlepapi
3B - Lil Beezer, JBB Jr IV
LF - Lil Beezer
CF - Lil Beezer, Young HiHeat
RF - Lil Beezer

I think we could make some noise with this group.
Every team needs more pitching - My son is a 5'10" 160 pound right handed pitcher, catcher and 1st baseman, clocked at 79 mph this past fall from 60 feet in a 15U tournament. Plays for a top team in Illinois. Anyone need to add an extra pitcher to their roster for next years 14U Battle Of The South?, our team is not going...
Justbaseball--Congrats to your son (and you!). You should be proud. Sorry we couldn't have been there. Sounds like a good time.

Beezer--We don't have any awesome articles but I have stats (but I'm the scorekeeper so you know how that goes Big Grin). Maybe we could exchange work for playing time. He's a great kid and will work hard, I promise. Oh please oh please, oh please.
