So son did pretty good with day one - his stats were very good, and did well with batting practice.
Day 2 he tanked -struck out, got hit, popped out. Pitching was just as bad although he is not really a pitcher.
So what does that mean? Will the schools that he was interested and showed interest in him walk away? He plays well in games with his travel team but it seems like showcases don't go well.

Probably not. The stats don’t mean anything to the recruiters. They are watching his mechanics, how much of an athlete he is, how often he barrels up the ball, knows the strike zone and especially how he handled “not performing well”. (Sometimes batters swing, and get out.)
Maybe he’s putting too much pressure on himself in showcases.
Scouts/evaluators don’t always look at results. As a hitter, the goal is consistent hard contact once that happens it’s out of your control whether it’s caught or not.
If schools have seen him multiple times, I think the body of work will trump showcase results.

One D1 coach ho made an offer to my son said after a bad outing that that was what he wanted to see before offering. They knew he could pitch, they said. They were impressed that son didn't quit, didn't blame his teammates, just got out there and kept his head and did his best. A bad attitude will do more to turn off coaches than a bad outing.
My 2019 son is not a pitcher but throws hard and pitches as secondary at all the showcases. He doesn’t work on his craft so obviously, he didn’t throw a lot of strikes, and off pitches were wild. But he has more interests from colleges because he pitched and threw hard. One college even wanted him as a PO. So for pitching, i think they are looking at velocity, and for hitting, mechanics. Also, how aggressive he is on the field and base running.
We did the I 95 also..had some immediate responses and a week later more are coming in..advice is give it some time..eventually a lot of these schools,are going to have make some offers..they can't keep holding their cards and playing coy which seems to be going on with 2019s at present..i've heard that is what is happening this year from several folks I trust.
Curious as to why no interest in doing I95 AGAIN? Have a 2022 was possibly thinking about it this summer for them
