KellerDad,
Good to hear a point of view from someone from a large, baseball talent laden state like Texas. Well said.
quote:Also, here in Texas, the private schools play in thier own league (well, all but a couple) and compete for their own state championship. Watered down compeition according to Beenthere, but look at the players coming out of the system and you might think different.
Dad....Coached some kids from big and small Texas schools in the summers of 2001 and 2002.
Texas baseball talent, especially in numbers, is dramatically different than Illinois.
As my wife so rightly pointed out to me (as have so many others), who would it "hurt" if they had 50 classes? Only "adults" who are mean-spirited, she said.
Then why suggest that the state is doing something wrong by having 4 different classifications?
This means 4 times the number of kids will get to participate in going after a ring. And those kids will have a lifetime of memories.
I'm all for it.

One could think with reason that Beenthere's better half must be a Cub fan. Only Sox fans are mean-spirited.
FastballDad,
That really hurts but funny as h***.
