Okay Coach M., I'll see if I can get things started.
Below is the Impact SC "Dream Team." Most of these were pretty safe choices. In fact, for the most part they are just kids that have committed to the biggest schools. Among the position players, Roth, Wingo, Washington, Ashmore, and Nester are pretty much no brainers. Since he plays for the Dirtbags you've probably seen more of Roth than I have. Stafford is more of an athlete than anything else at this point. He has all of the tools, which is what landed him on the list, but he really hasn't proven himself yet. I'd just about bet you that Washington is drafted and signs a pro contract.
As far as the pitchers are concerned, Miller and Neff are no brainers. For my money Neff is the best pitching prospect in the 07 class. I guess Hyatt and Hopper are no brainers too, but Hyatt recently had UCL surgery and I've heard rumors that Hopper has been having some arm issues as well. Deese's name started to pop up late last year. I haven't seen him pitch even though we played his team twice last year, but if Austin Alexander says he's the real deal I'll take his word for it. From what I have seen Moorefield is the best left handed prospect in the 08 class, with Westmoreland in W. Columbia a close second. But if he is to succeed at Clemson he, or Sully, will have to resolve temperament and control issues.
I guess it's a pretty good list, but it depends on whether you're putting together a high school team designed to win a state championship or a group of top college prospects. The lists would not be the same. For example, if it's the former, Moorefield might be on it. But if it's a prospect list he should be. If it's a prospect list I would also put Hembree from Broome on the pitching list. There would also be a several 08's, that would warrant consideration.
Good luck stirring up the SC folks. I've been talking up this site for a long time, but Diamond Prospects and SC Varsity get most of the traffic.
Coach M, I've enjoyed reading your posts for years. Thanks for all you do for high school baseball.
