its where you finish. Its not where you are but what you do where you are. Its not who you are but what you do. Its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. Its not up to them its up to you. Its not the score that counts but the way you play the game. Its not about the name on the back of the jersey but the name on the front of the jersey. Its what you do in the off season that determines what you can do in the season. Its not enough to do what everyone else is doing its important that you do more than everyone else.

If you want to be average then do what everyone else around you is doing. If you want to be special do what no one else is willing to do.

Dont get caught up in who is All this and All that. Dont get caught up in looking at others and wishing you were them. Focus on what you can do to be the best you can be. Focus on being the best period. Dont ever want to be them or like them. Be better than them and be yourself.

That is awesome advice, Coach May...and I wish you would re-post this in the recruiting section. It took me a while to come to grips with the "level" that was the best fit for my son, but now that he is there, he wants to be the best D3 player he can be. Hard work...wherever you are...is going to help maximize one's talent and make for a better baseball (and life) experience.
I would like to thank the Belgians for deciding that french fries (pomme frittes) taste good with mayonnaise.

JT - DIII is hot! When my son-wife-I started looking into all this college stuff a couple years ago, and knowing the kind of collegiate experience my son wanted (size of student body, class sizes, offerings, solid chance to play right away), it was clear to us that DIII was the way to go regardless of where son would ultimately project baseball-wise. I applaud your son's "let me at 'em" attitude!!
I really, really loved those fries as a youngster growing up in Salem, OR. Drenched from end to end in that tangy, savory, secret sauce!

Here it is for you EH...all bottled up and ready to go. Notice they don't refer to mayonnaise...only the ingredients of mayonnaise. Sly. Their "infamous" secret recipe apparently wasn't so well guarded was it EH?

Arctic Circle — Fry Sauce Bottle

As part of Love Communications' brand overhaul of Arctic Circle, the restaurant chain's infamous Original Fry Sauce – a tasty, tangy mixture of tomato concentrate, lemon juice, eggs, and a whole bunch of other ingredients – required a fresh, new look. The fry sauce, invented more than 50 years ago, is an original (and heavily guarded) Arctic Circle recipe. This "take-home" version of the Original Fry Sauce is also available for sale at Arctic Circle locations.
