Jackie Robinson Training Complex

Are they staying in the dorms or in hotels. The hotels around there are pretty dodgy, and that is probably being too nice. I have no idea what the dorms are like. Last time I was there a few years ago the fields were just ok.

BPThrower they are staying in the dorms. Have heard the fields are "better" now than a few years ago. The head coach was at another HS a few years back that went there often. This is our son's school's first trip there. Hotel prices are sky-high, but, of course, it is over spring break...

Are you going as well? Don’t stay in any of the turd holes around the facility (hwy 60). The reviews are pretty funny though

Yup, we're going. Haven't made reservations yet as we're not sure what we're going to to do all week as our games will be on Friday and Saturday (Friday is when the Missouri HS season begins). We have a 4th grader on break at the same time, so we'll likely plan the front-end of the week around her while 2024 is hanging with the team.

The Disney resort there is decent. Lots of good beach options. Most of the in-town options are places for crack/meth heads and possibly rented by the hour

@TerribleBPthrower we are going to stay at a resort in Orlando. 2024 will be with his team and coaches most days/nights, so there really isn't a need for us to "be local" until game days on Friday and Saturday. As luck would have it, 3 of the 5 teams that will be at the complex are from St. Louis, including one from our conference that is a power who we are 1-24 against in the past dozen years (I mistakenly said in another post that our school hasn't defeated them in 20 years, I was wrong!).
