Several D1 JUCO's are talking to my 2020 son. Just wondering what a typical offer would be in the Missouri/ Kansas/ Arkansas areas. I've read D1 JUCO's are able to offer full rides (Tuition, books & housing) but i'm guessing that's not typical for the JUCO's in the midwest. Just trying to be realistic when we start visiting these campuses in a couple weeks.

What a JuCo can offer typically has nothing to do with where it’s located. ( I know California is different) . What they can offer is usually dependent on their classification and whether or not they are fully funded. D1 JuCos can offer full scholarships. In Texas a fully funded JuCo has 24 full scholarships to offer. D2 Jucos can offer only books, tuition & fees. D3 JuCos can not offer athletic scholarships of any kind.
PS : There are plenty of good JuCo baseball programs in Kansas and Missouri. Not so much in Arkansas

If we stay in state (Missouri) he can use his state sponsored A+ money to pay for his tuition. I'm hoping the school will sweeten the offer and pay room & board. Otherwise, there would be no benefit to stay instate vs. a good Kansas school if they offer the same.
Holmes are you of the understanding Kansas D1 jucos can offer room and board as well as books and tuition? We were told by the ks juco son verbaled to the max they could offer was books and tuition but then several of his buddies committed to same school and they got books tuition and like 50% room and board too

I know what they are allowed to offer, I'm more concerned with what is typically offered. I don't know how "fully funded" schools in the midwest are.

I would try to find a fall roster and do a head count. Just so you know.
