Haven't posted in awhile but am excited that, after missing junior season with elbow stress fracture, my now-senior 6'4" left-handed pitcher son will be throwing a private bullpen for one of his top choice JUCOs this afternoon. Also, he got a call last night from his "top choice" JUCO to attend an invite only workout with about 20 young men this weekend. Here's hoping for a good showing and that an offer will come from one of them since they are his top two choices.

Thanks, all. They are Alabama Juco's and, from what I understand, are the top two in the State.

Son said yesterday's bullpen went well. Threw about 40-50 pitches. Had a couple of wild ones fly, but was on target more than not. Coach told him if he was a righty, he wouldn't be interested. But, since he is a lefty and has good off-speed and curve, he is interested in watching him in game and requested son send him hs schedule as soon as he has it. It was a good experience for him and should help mentally for Sunday's workout. I'll update next week.
Son had outstanding workout at top choice JUCO on Sunday. Pitched two innings. First inning: first batter double on bad throw to first; struck out next three; coach and one other gentleman behind homeplate screen that inning. Second inning, struck out all three with coach and three others behind screen for that inning. I believe he left a very good impression. Son was certainly proud of his performance. Son left dug out for bathroom and assistant coach walked out with him and pointed where it was. When he came back to get his things, son said several boys asked if they offered since assistant walked out with him. I guess some of them were impressed, too. They didn't, but we are hoping they will. Until then, he'll continue with his private pitching instructor and get ready for last high school spring season. Any ideas on what we might expect next?
