Tom Davis and his family are just GREAT!!!
Last year we sat and talked about "things" when "things" were not as bright as they are tonight.
Tom, when we talked, was no different than the person we saw on TV tonight, other than the "cool one" that made it a bit more difficult to clap. Wink
Boy, am I happy for this family. They are great!!

Tom and Gloria Davis are very, very special people and I have been very lucky that baseball, and the HSBBW, brought our experiences together.
Thanks everyone.

I started getting text messages during the game about being on TV. I tried to be on good behavior! Razz

What I can really tell you is that I very much wanted to throw up! Eek Probably the most stressful thing I've ever gone through.

Once again, thanks so much for all of your prayers and kind words. I really mean this...you cannot comprehend how very helpful you ALL were in getting to this night.

Thank you! Wink
LOL, I love it:

So glad you managed not to do that (especially when the camera was pointing at you!), and so happy for Erik and his team tonight! Smile

It was great to watch. Congrats to Stanford. Fun to see Erik throw so well after coming back from a tragic situation.

So watching, I was in a win win situation. Mixed feelings about Miami. I have watched many of those kids play for a long time and my son played with Weeks and Alonzo on the Florida Bombers. He played against Raben and DiNatale. A great season for the 'Canes.

The mystique is gone indeed Big Grin

Although I knew he grew up in the midwest, I was expecting a California beach-bumb look with blond hair and not much worry in the world. To my surprise, it was a stoic, Clint Eastwood type sitting there - almost tempting someone who might be there to heckle someone from Stanford to make his day Big Grin

Seriously, I have seen the look many times before. It is called the "pitcher's parent" look. It is the best of times and the worst of times all rolled into one. Huge congrats to Erik, Stanford, and TD for making my day

Tom sent me a video piece regarding ED a while back, wish he would post it here.
Now that his face is famous worldwide, no reason to hold back and we can see the lovely Mrs. Justbaseball.

TD,
Most of us pitcher parents can relate to the throw up remark. Roll Eyes Happens often, no matter what game. Smile
