Lamar plays at The Colony High School at these times. I think the Lamar/Newman-Smith game will be a good one.

I see PESH plays Permian on Thursday and that should be a really good game.

Permian lost their opener to Amarillo Tascosa on Monday. I believe the score was 9-6.

McKinney North plays Allen tonight at 7pm @ North. Should be a great game.

OP, do you have inside info that Allen is going to be great, or do you literally kiss everybody's ***?

I haven't heard at all from Coach G about any changes. He told me he would let me know if there were any changes so I could update our web site. As of right now @ 1:15pm, I haven't heard from him, so I'm assuming the games are on as scheduled.

We're gonna need some luck this year for sure. We're a dark horse, but I think we'll surprise some folks before it's all said and done.

Only extra base hit in the game. But every Hebron hitter outside of the leadoff (who walked once) got at least one hit.

Game got started two hours late as the Umpires Alliance failed to send umps for the 5 p.m. start. Game actually started at 7 p.m. Man, was it cold.

Both teams scored 2 runs in the 1st then both pitchers settled down and the score remained 2-2 until the bottom of the 5th. Then Amarillo took Cook out after 4 innings and in the bottom of the 5th Martin scored 5 runs and then added another insurance run in the 6th. Game was called after 6 due to time limit. There were at least 20 pro scouts at the game to watch Cook pitch.

Do you have a report of the Newman Smith / WF Rider game? How does Newman Smith look this year?

PD, I've definitely had colder games in 26 years of calling, and playing before that. BUT, after it gets this cold does it really matter???????? JEEZ IT WAS COLD. I really feel bad for the outfielders in these games.

For some reason there were no umps scheduled for the Hebron field last night and the first game didn't get started until after 7:30. That pushed our game back and we started playing at 9:40 ending at 11:40. No reason im tired today, I think I layed down at 1:20.

Our chapter doesn't cover Hebron. However, there is definitely a shortage of officials across the state.

Did it get warmer after 11:00 p.m.?

As a former parent and booth person I extend my personal apologies unfortunatly, I don't know who is in the booth these days and I don't have any relationship/pull with the coach so it sounds like Eastside Panther Dad will have to work the problem on this one.

One short year later and I am SOL on this one.....

Lake Cities Tournament is always one that brings cold/rain as well as some great competition.
