Hello to all. I am writing this message in hope that I can get some guidance. My nephew is a 14-yr old who resides in Puerto Rico and will be a sophmore next fall. He currently plays in what I guess would be considered little leagues down there. He is an excellent player and has great talent but since the public schools down there have virtually no athletic programs, his father and I have discussed having them relocate to Florida (I live in the Tampa Bay area). We'd like to find a better school with a good baseball program that would improve his chances of maybe getting a college scholarship. Can anyone give me any information on good high schools with good baseball programs in Florida (preferably in or near Tampa Bay/Central Florida)? You can contact me via email at mike@yankeefan.org

Thanks.

The "Tampa Bay" area is pretty large. Can you be more specific? Clearwater Central Catholic HS is a very good school with a nice program. Sarasota HS is a top 6A program and excellent school. In Central Florida, Winter Park HS, Boone HS, Dr. Philip HS are all good schools and top-level programs. You should know about Tampa yourself. Good luck.
