Congrats to LT. This is an example of a National Ranking coming as a result of continued success.
This is an example of a publication not even bothering to try and do any research. The one man team is now at Bradley but I guess they didn't bother to do any work for this article so they wouldn't know that. There are four better teams than LT in their own Division much less conference, much less the state, much less the country.
PBR, Considering the above comments about Baseball America, you should feel pretty good about your magazine and the quality of your rankings. Even you didn't get grilled like this.

Whether they should be ranked that high nationally is open for debate, but saying their one man team is in Peoria would be akin to saying your one man team is headed to Ohio in the fall.

I think any positive pub on an Illinois high school or player, in a national publication, is a great thing for Illinois baseball! Whether it is warranted or not.

That's right LT is 31. It's not where you start but where you finish. With that being said it's still nice to get some recognition early. Let's see what happens. Again, congrat to LT.
Actually May 13 & 16 are more important against a very good OPRF team, who if I remember correctly actually went downstate last year, won the season series, and beat LT in the summer. Other than that LT is great.

Ok, thanks for the heads up on that..just let the weather turn and let these guys play some ball. all the rest of the stuff will take care of it self. LT has as good a shot as any other in the state. Pitching and defense should be fine. the rest will come. Of course they did lose Brew. so our offense should be nil. sound familiar......Looking forward to seeing everyone play ball this spring...and getting prepared for the T-Ball season with my 5 yr old too. oh that hurts..but true

A one-man team was better than your 0-man team last year. So until you prove otherwise, you have nothing on LT.

Do you lay awake and night andworry about LT that much? Do you even play? Because I know alot of the guys on HC and they are all very nice guys and I have never heard this kinda of mucity muck from any of the starters. I think you guys or at least the players have a mutual respect for each others programs. Two good teams with alot of tradition. I guess if you are that worried then you must not feel to comfy.... Wow, I got all seven members of the LT fan club ripping on me - sounds like you people are as insecure as ever. Speaking of ISU the OPRF and Glenbard pitchers are doing nicely - the ex LT "ace" = batting practice.
If my son wasn't playing on 4/22 and 4/25 there's no way I wouldn't be at one of these games. Nothing like some pre-season trash talking to post in the LT locker room. DevilMan, I'd be careful what you wish for.

Boomer - I'll show up at LT if you guys can get the scoreboard working. Now for once I have a serious question for you, I heard about the new fieldhouse and pool LT is building, but why don't they spend any money on your baseball program?

You know, you have asked a very good question??? I really don't know! But can you imagine how much better of an attitude our players would have if they did have new digs to play in!!!! If you can't beat us now, just imagine how much harder it will be for you to beat us when our kids are playing with a better attitude.

Before you worry about our field, how about spending some of your cash, and make your field into a real sized one!!!! What's the leftfield, 295'?????? I'll bet you might even be able to hit the ball over the fence. Don't forget to take your Advil when your done with practice!
