Bort is the best!!! My son and I got the opportunity to run down to Peoria (from Chicago) and catch one of Bort’s games against the Cub affiliate Chiefs while Tyler played for the Bowling Green Hot Rods last summer. We talked to Bort after the game covered in sweat and dirt – he had the biggest smile on his face – just havin’ the time of his life. Dan and family should be proud!

What a dirt-bag!!!!!! GOOD LUCK BORT – HAVE A SEASON!

Alright, I'm ticked off! I just asked Dan (ClevelandDad) in the past day or so for any updates on Tyler, and he said...

Nada. Nuttin'. Not a word. Doggone modest parents! Wink

So anyway, I'm glad SOMEONE is keeping us updated on Tyler. Thanks sportsfan! I'm a fan of the Bortinator, and I'm bookmarking "Inside the Clubhouse"!

Great article...good young man. He comes from solid stock!

About that "like" button Fungo, you can click on this...

Your preference will probably be tallied somewhere on this world wide contraption, but I'm not certain which address.

For the "Convenient Truth" it's best you call an expert on these internet matters.

That's right, you should call the man from Carthage, or was he from The Fairfax Hotel? St. Albans School? Harvard? Chad?

I am touched that sportsfan5 started this thread and that 25 people have replied!

I hope that someday my son can play in one of your respective hometowns. My hope is that you'll have a chance to see his personality play out on the field and that you'll like him simply because you like what you see.

He still has that little-boy quality where a little boy's dreams are living inside of a 23 year old's body. I suspect all of you know what I am talking about
Anyone who knows me KNOWS it was not my idea to start this thread Big Grin

I truly appreciate the kind wishes

That said, here is the next installment of the series on life in the minor leagues. Fascinating stuff I might add and a must read for all young ballplayers aspiring to the next level someday. I never thought to ask my son some of those questions so I learned some things as well...

ClevelandDad, how long before he becomes a Montgomery Biscuit? I will be looking for him down here. You will need to make a trip down to Montgomery, AL and see the Biscuits park, Riverwalk Stadium. It is right on the river and built into an old train depot. It is very nice. Tell your son good luck. Go Rays!!!

I am hoping he is a Biscuit yesterday. In fact, if they want to skip him up to Durham or Tampa, I won't be upset with that either Big Grin

Seriously, we'd love to travel to Montgomery. Never been to Alabama but would love to visit there

Sweet Home Alabama
