Midlo Dad - congrats! In one of those six degrees of separation things, your son's catcher (MM) has a brother (a high school soph) who will be catching my son (a senior) at our high school this spring (maybe that's only two degrees). Best of luck for a great spring!
Thanks, I hadn't seen that yet. I'll let you know how opening weekend goes next weekend.
Right now the weather is awesome. I fear it may turn back to normal February by the 20th. But I have my cold weather gear all lined up and we're ready for that first weekend.
I hope PGX is right. It's still 28 months until we find out, but I'm sure it'll be here before we know it!
Steve, the hitting has been laid aside. He doesn't even take BP any more. I don't know if he even takes his bat out of his dorm room!
I will miss seeing him in every game, but he embraced this move as a way to focus on where his future lies. He knows there are things he needs to improve on yet. The key word in that reference to the boldface type being "potential". He ain't there yet and he knows it. But he has a chance and that is a wonderful thing.
