It was kind of a home coming as a lot of family and friends came to watch Shane Kemp and Josh play that close to Paris. Several Clarksville and Henry County high ball players were there to watch the game. We got out of Clarksville with a close 7-6 win.
After the game and all of the players were trading hugs with the families I got a chance to meet a wonderful young man from Knoxville named Michael Mc Kenry who was one of the heros last night at the plate. He was really stroking the baseball and he is going to be a special player. It was a great to meet the son of GCM and talk about baseball. I told him how proud we were to have him in blue and white! I also mentioned talking to his dad on the “High School Baseball Web” and he gave me a big grin!
What a quality young Man!
