I must admit I was skeptical above about any NCAA changes -

but - that was then, this is NOW

HEARTY KUDOS TO the NCAA for accomplishing what many thought impossible -
changing to a common START date, AND changing the WEATHER

here I am on Jan 12, 50 miles from the Canadian border, it's a beautiful 57 and SUNNY outside - just saw guys playing golf in shirt-sleeves and also several fishermen out on the reservoir

I may have to leave work early and mow my lawn

rz,
Nice post.
Hey , mine went north, for a florida boy he had some pretty cold days himself last year and the are starting up now. Plus they travel, even farther NORTH.
People ask, why would you leave here to play? It wasn't about the weather, it was about where he felt most comfortable, preferred a smaller school to our large universities and preferred the coaching staff.

I know it is south to some, but north to us Wink

You preach it brother. Florida is such a melting pot. My children have to go north to Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama to learn about The South.

Florida is a great place to live, and is certainly a southern state. But make no mistake about it, very little about Florida is about The South.

Soxnole,
Now that is funny and oh so true. Big Grin

Se habla espanol?

Also, don't forget we have all those CANADIANS that seem to invade us 6 months out of the year. So if you understand french, spanish, creole, brooklynese, bostonian and michiganish, you hit the jackpot (also can be found at the Seminole casinos).

My son never heard a southern y'all until he went to South Carolina.

I know Florida Hokie understands!

There is absolutely nothing south about south florida!
