Congrats to all of the teams that will advance and congrats to all of our websters whose sons contributed to their teams in advancing to post season. Been there done that, so I know how tough it is, just to reach post season, everyone is a winner! There really are no losers in the college game.
JMO.
You want an interesting read---go to the regional schedules and records and see how many of the host teams have now won the regional or are in the final today---

Then you have Virginia who showed them all-- great job by them--way to go Coach O'Connor who for part of the weekend was called Coach O'Sullivan by the TV announcers

Bottom Line-- a lot of great baseball
That's why teams work so hard to be awarded regionals, home field advantage and sleeping in your own bed, helps a lot.
Mixing up O'Conner for Sully! Eek That's a strange one.
FWIW, Sully attended UVA and a former coach, the man gets around. He sets a goal and goes for it. We are very proud of his recent accomplishment, two years as HC and a NCAA tournamnet seed.

I was not referring to anything other than the fact they called Coach O'Connor by the incorrect last name

And NO I don't think they would know the difference because they are doing the games they get paid for and do their homework on the teams they will be dealing with in the broadcast--and where do SEC coaches get in the picture---Virginia went to the West Coast--no SEC teams there---many of the announcers have ever seen the teams in the regional prior to their assignment

I agree. Phil Nevin was the guy goofing the names up. IMHO, he seems like a nice guy but a below average announcer/analyst.

Don't you think that any announcer no matter which region they are covering should know the top guys in the country? Ok now I get it from CD, he absolutely was confused between the SEC and ACC.

Ok, instead of sparing back and forth on this, how about just a big congrats to all of our kids who played this weekend, or is that too difficult?
