Admitted my son in to the hospital yesterday after he complained to me about a pain in his chest and his heart beating hard and fast. Doctor took x-rays and a cat scan and found a mass in his crest wall. Blood test came back that he had a high white cell count and low blood platelets. Doctors feel he has Lymphoma or Leukemia. Will have more test this morning.
My son has been through so much the last 3 years just to play ball. Had ACL replacement 3 years ago and lost chance to go to a couple of schools that recruited him. Went to a J.C. and because of a great coach, taught him how to pitch after being a catcher all his life and he be came a set/closer this last season and did great. He has had contact with several schools and was waiting for the coach to call him last night to except an offer.
Now it looks like he'll never get his chance. He'll beat this we know because he is a fighter but his last chance to play anymore for college looks to have ended.
God I wish it were me and not him.
