I hear ya RJM, texting, emailing and VM'ing hundreds of times probably isn't the safest way to stray. And ya gotta think, man, is he really that stupid? If the woman gets dumped or heck, even angry with Tiger, what's to say she won't call ole Tiger up and tell him to fork over a cool mill to keep her quiet? Doesn't he think of this stuff BEFORE? Yikes..

Never been a fan of the "man", golf talent aside. I never could quite put a finger on it, just call it a gut feeling. I always thought he was a shmuck!

Of course, now he wants to be a better husband.... are you serious??

Not really. From my perspective it's not about Woods specifically but how someone can have the world by the balls and it's not enough, and two the stupidity of leaving tracks. This waitress is an aspiring actress. Of course she's going to use the situation at some point for exposure and a shot at fame. It doesn't change a thing in my mind about watching Woods assault on being the best golfer of all time. It wouldn't matter if Woods lived in my neighborhood. I have neighbors doing the same thing. It doesn't affect my life. I have had to explain keyswapping parties to my kids and why it's wrong.

No honestly I am sick of hearing about these guys. I am more concerned with the average Joe like my husband who is 61 tomorrow, still works 60 hours a week,gets up every day , many times 6 days a week to provide for my family, gets cancer, we go into debt, we are losing our house.I am hurt and cant work.
I am more concerned about the millions of hard working Americans who are losing their homes, the middle class Americans who have been the back bone of this country.
I would like to hear about what the freaking government wants to do about that.
As well as increasing our troops to Afg. I support our troops, but don't want to see more innocent young good American getting killed and mamed.
I am really sick and tired of hearing about all these freaking idiots who cant go a week without embarrassing themselves and their families.JMHO

A recent article says " Tiger has earned upwards of a Billion dollars!" Two thoughts come to mind; one is that he didn't get smarter as he got richer and secondly, Elin will soon have her own little Half a billion $ nest egg to go playhouse with on her own. Tiger, can you say goodbye children, wife, endorsements, and life as you knew it?

What an idiot and with a cocktail waitress yet. He thought she was gonna keep that quiet?

I'll bet this is a ripple in the water in Woods' life. I say he survives intact long term. NIKE won't drop him. That's the big package. He may lose a company like General Mills/Wheaties.

This woman isn't just a cocktail waitress. She's an aspiring actress. That makes it even dumber. She couldn't buy this kind of publicity. I'll bet she has an acting contract in the next few months. There are enough stupid people in the world to check out a show because it has Woods' mistress.

I think you need the source/url of the picture. It's not like email where you can drag an image to a screen.

Who wrote his "apology"? A-Roid?

These guys are not only moral creeps, and only confess after they're caught, when they "apologize", they have their wordsmith lawyers analyze every word for liabiity connotations, and the whole thing comes across as sincere as a pre-recorded phone call.

A-Roid is a creep. Tiger is a creep. Clemens is a creep. Bonds is a creep. Maquire is a creep. All of 'em. Disgusting. What do they have in common besides substantial cash? They made it worse by lying after getting caught. Must've missed the Sunday School class and didn't hear that part of Scripture about your sins finding you (Numbers 32:23), or the part about the Truth will set you free (John 8:32)....


I do feel sorry for his wife and kids-they don't deserve this. When you're a dad and a husband, isn't it part of the deal that you try to live an honorable life so that your family can rightly be proud of you?? Not rich, not famous, honorable. Where has that notion gone?

Yes, as a husband and a father, that is your responsibility.Living an honorable life is what all of us need to do. That is what finds favor in Gods eyes.

Pre-nup does not matter when lawsuits can be filed and public names can be further damaged in the media. As long as there is something to lose then negotiatiting is in play.

I have to admit - I am rocked by this one. I thought he was smarter and rasied better. Tiger's dad was a better person. A total shame.

As a golf professionals grandaughter I will never watch Tiger the same.

Off the cuff, politically incorrect frustrations....

I'll have to admit, I loved Tiger Woods and probably will still watch him play golf and probably still root for him.

I think a bigger story here is how the media has been carrying his water all these years and covering for him. IMHO, there is a PC storyline that has been going on in this country for far too long. You kind of saw it with the Donovan McNabb situation where Rush Limbaugh was fired from ESPN. All he said was the media was rooting for McNabb to succeed and they fired him for being a racist. The PC storyline I see is that minorities have been oppressed. Only the educated elite can truly understand the plight of the oppressed. Given this victim status, the oppressed can do no wrong. The do no wrong mantra leads to the Tiger Woods mythology imho.

Tiger Woods was the media darling who proved all the theories of the elites. A figure who was so talented, so smart, so beautiful, so "perfect" that he transcended race. For the record, I never even noticed that Tiger was Black or that he was Asian. He was just Tiger. It has been reported that one magazine had the goods on him a couple of years ago. In order to keep it quiet, they buried the story if Tiger agreed to be on their cover which he dutifully complied. Perhaps hokieone can comment on whether or not any felonies were involved in that incident.

Now the same media is questioning how he could be so careless as to leave a trail of lies and deceit. I don't think he ever thought he would be caught. He knew they would always cover for him so he could be as careless as he pleased - a perfectly logical conclusion imho given the kid-glove treatment he was getting. You don't get admitted into Stanford by being dumb imho.

The only thing that forced him out into the light or out of the "woods" if you will was the business end of a golf club imho. If it were not for the car incident, we would have never heard of it and Elin Nordigren would have continued to play the role of the doting, trophy wife. None of this is real and I don't know why any of us are naive enough to believe it. Even the night of the accident they were trying to cover for him until the story became so absurd that even a moron would no longer buy into it.

I see the same thing going on with Obama. IMHO, the mainstream media is rooting for him to succeed and covering for him. I for one refuse to believe in it.

don't feel too bad for his wife she was a nanny before he made her a billionaire. always amazes me how these athletes with a face like a doorknob seem to marry the most beautiful women. no she didn't marry him for the money. a crime was committed, it was felony assault with a deadly weapon when she teed of on him. i hope now i can watch golf without the media pouring over the the perfect tiger like he is a god

You can't have an affair for 2.5 years and no one notices, I also feel he was being protected, until this happened, I don't think it was a surprise to his wife either, she probably just had enough, whatever enough is. Sometimes the rich and powerful look the other way so that their lives can appear perfect and it doesn't get interrupted. After all, if she wasn't Tiger's wife anymore, how unexciting and boring would her life be?

Man, she did some major damage to that escalade.

Nice guys finish last. I think people like Tiger are so good at sports because they really don't care what the guy standing next to them thinks. Scott Hoch of Masters choke infamy is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. From what people in SoCal golf told me when he was a junior Tiger wasn't. From what little I saw of him my impression was not real positive but that was simply an impression.

Does being a jerk who doesn't care what people think make one a better athlete?
