The schedules are posted and it looks like the guys up at KZONE Cages in Worcester, MA has put together a nice assortment of teams. Play starts on Wednesday evening and runs through Saturday.

I will be there with my Clipper teams and will be try to see as many other games as possible. Anyone else going?

Stopped by yesterday and saw a couple games. One of the Strike Zone (Worcester based) Teams beat one of the Clippers team 5-4.

Then I saw the Mavericks (NH Based) beat the RI Rebels 12-9. It was a low scoring game into the sixth, I had already texted that I would be home for dinner and then the Mavericks scored six or 7 runs in the sixth to take a 12-3 lead. But then the Rebels rallied for 6 in the bottom of the 6th.
The independent team whom I guess own the stadium were in town for the weekend which kept the field from being used. It was still a nice event with a few coaches trying to see games. The quality of the teams was definitely worth college coaches being there.

Shawn sorry I didn't get to meet you. That was our National team which has some players that I'm very excited about moving up.

It's been a great summer but I think my boys are wilting from the heat. Confused
NorthEast Baseball Rays won the tournament. They beat the Mavericks 5-4 in a badly umpired game. Apparently the plate ump has a history with the Rays head coach and completely let the Mavericks back into a game they were trailing 3-1 in the sixth. Mav's went up 4-3 but the Rays picked up two in the bottom the the sixth and held on for the win.

There was no championship game as the Rebels played an 18 inning semi final game and declined to play a third game of the day (don't blame them in this heat.) They should tweak the rules on that tourney...no reason teams should have to go that many extras to play a third game of the day.

All in all, good exposure for the teams that participated.
My 2 cents - a very worthwhile event.

I thought it was a vey well run tournament; tourny director was very helpful and accommodating, and the atmosphere was very positive at all of our games.

My 2013 and his team look forward to going next year in the 18U level.

16U games were probably not as well-'scouted' by colleges as the 18, but that is to be expected I guess. But for a 16U tourny, it seemed to have a good representation of colleges. I know we had a college coach as 1st base ump at two games so maybe there were other stealth coaches; I also saw 2-3 others walking around and taking notes, so who knows who else?

By the way, had the best Italian dinner outside of NY at Via Italian Table. My son and his coaches loved the BBQ at Bucks in Auburn! (Food at these events is very important!)

Can't believe summer ball is winding down. Son is joining our 18U for one last hurrah at Triple Crown in VA but I can't go. I am already missing the games... does anyone else get blue in August when it all comes to an end?
Shawn. Sorry that wasn't me. I'm not a hat backward guy, that's the first indication. The game you spoke of was our National team and the games were all close in time so we were probably at another field. Bad weekend all around for the Clipper bats.
Hopefully the guys come to play this week in Syracuse. Pitching has been solid but timely hitting has been non existing.
