Guest player must have done his job,,,see how he is front/center and the coach has his arm on his shoulder....
I see the time honored tradition of baseball players not showing their teeth when they smile was in being enforced back then.......
They didn't have as many teeth in 1909.
And gosh they didn't have to debate wood vs metal bats either........ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh the good old days.....
does the Catch have a black eye?
I am fairly sure the guest player only pitched...

Changeup. Look up at the top of the page and you will see a box next to the Go...New...Find...Notify...Tools...Reply toolbar thingy's!! Click on the box that says "New PM" and it will bring up another box of PM's. Click on the PM from me and then you just reply to it like you would any other post you make.
It's pretty simple once you figure it out!!

Son started their off-season training today in Cross country. He had to be at school at 6:30 AM, ran 3 miles off road, then lifted weights then ran another 1 1/2 miles on the track.
Here's my question. He doesn't want to eat anything before he goes and he said he didn't want anything after but he was really tired throughout the rest of the day in school. Any suggestions on what he should eat or drink after such a workout?

Is your son playing baseball, or just doing cross country???
Maybe he goes to Rockwall where the first 55 days of baseball is cross-country
Careful MEAT, that sounds like criticism.
not at all who has one of the best programs in the area....Rockwall... seems to be paying off you know what they say "hard work pays off" and it sure as heck aint easy over there
The High School does not have a baseball class till 2nd semester so they are all in Cross Country. He goes to Naaman.

Sounds like they will be in shape and ready for baseball after all that running. Does he like powerbars...might be good to get a little something in his stomach before lunch.

GBB-
peanutbutter is loaded with protein
a spoonful goes a long way
it goes well with fruit, too (banana/apple)
hydration is most important, and it's how you hydrate the day before that counts for the day of

Hydration starts the night before and should be taken seriously. He had better get use to putting toast or something along with fluids in his system.
i feel part of the problem these kids have is that they wait untill off season starts to do ANYTHING.. then wonder why it is so hard. If they all want to be better they should be working on their own as well. They all should have been running several weeks before school even started. But it's easier to blame the program on being too hard ... Just my opinion.
