Can one team have more heart/desire than another team? And if so will this have an affect on the outcome of a game or series?

My answer for you is absolutley and absolutley...LOL....but who's going to measure?
and how do you quantify "heart" and "desire" in players with different makeup?

Who do you want to use as an example? What about Bernie Williams? Does he have heart? Do you know how much he wanted to win? Conversely, because the Angels closer IROD, is animated....does that translate into more desire?

WHen you say one team wanted it more? How do you know? It's like all the parents who say my kid works harder than anyone else. I don't agree. You can have a strong work ethic but there is always someone working harder than you.

The outcome of a game is contingent on may things...Plate Umpires included Mad...I just disagree with you that you can calculate who wanted it more.

Regarding heart/desire/who wants it more? In baseball you'll always hear "they are flat" and "have no heart" when a team is not hitting well. When they begin to hit suddenly "they are alive".
Same in basketball - when a team is shooting poorly many think they're dogging it. When a team struggles on offense in any sport it appears team is down & crowd is definitely out of it.
i would say the Angels are the better "cohesive unit"! they feed off each other, they have a kids mentality to a kids game. the yankees are supposed to win, how would you like that pressure every year. their owner, thier city, thier media are very tough on them and make it a job not a game. besides which would win? the best team in baseball or an allstar team?
