I'm thankful for his service and that he's home safe. As a Vet of a long ago war, I anxiously volunteered to be in harms way (twice). With that experience and the knowledge that life brings, I'm so relieved that a College Baseball game is the biggest battle my boy is likely to face. I hope your experience puts things into perspective for some over zealous parents!

I work with a young man who served in the Army in Iraq. When we hit a bump in the road at work, he says "well at least no one is shooting at us". And he means it.

Keeps it all in perspective!

Honestly, over time this forum has really helped me re-think my approach to several things related to baseball, including keeping my big fat mouth shut.

and thank you too kind sir for your service years ago. I can only imagine the impact and experience such as that shapes the rest of your journey! All vets have my respect and admiration! I salute you all!
