Pitcher Phil Hughes in c-o-c-k-e-d Position

Note the arm position on the right hand picture.Does there seem to be a contradiction here?

Do we really need to revisit the dark days of using still's to try and break down a complex motion ? Still pictures are useless unless great care is taken to properly reference them, such as in a series of high speed photo's. Hughes doesn't have control issues, where is the contradiction ?

Hughes velocity was down the last month and a half for whatever reason. He's a little slow, upright, and deliberate towards the plate. In addition he opens up the front shoulder too soon. If he can improve upon his bow-arch-bow and momentum towards the plate, that will help him.

Hughes was pitching great before he hurt himself, hammy, in the 7th inning against Texas earlier this year. He then hurt his ankle during re=hab. I believe the rest of the year was a but down for him due to both of these injuries. His stuff was better before the injuries occurred.
