I agree and many MLB players are picking up on this movement (Williams/Bonds type more so than Sheffield) and it is working very well for them. Hamilton, DeRosa and Fields to name a few.

Sulltiger,

You have a PM.
Nice video, thanks for posting. It's not a bad swing. Looks like your trying to jack everything though. I bet you like the ball low... In the video, I see that you have a hard time with the ball up around your letters, I see a quick swing, however it looks like a long swing to me. I didn't see any line drives... mostly fly balls and pop-ups, am I right? I'm not trying to criticize, just telling you what I see. I'm a newcomer to this site, but I've played many innings and have logged many dugout hours. I'm a huge fan of the open stance, but I'm not a fan of the low hands. At this point, you may have already taken suggestions and are doing what you feel is comfortable. If I would give you my opinion in what I would change... I would like to see your hands closer to your ear, your chin tucked in your shoulder, and a smaller stride... and not so much of a high step that you have. Good luck

Do you notice any differences between his swing in the first video and these ?

BTW --last name is spelled with a K...not a C .

Sorry about the spelling! Yes, I see better use of his hips and a little more stretch in his upper body. I can see from the video that he is still sliding from back to front some, but not as much. He still needs to keep working on that. IMO, he needs to try and keep his head totally still and sit more on his back leg. He should have the feeling that he is going to kneel down on something on his back knee as he starts his stride. This will improve his wait time and adjustability.
