More on the way for Ben, and for your son to lend him strength.

Momandcpa, no, he had never had any signs of health problems. Ben and my son and some other buddies from HS had just hung out together this past weekend as they often do on breaks from college, and Ben was just fine then.

My prayers go out for Ben. May he heal and recover.

Absolutely. Been doing a lot of praying lately and feeling the power of prayer from others. We're with him and his family all the way.

Prayers for Ben and Erik daily... my brother and son's names. Tonight they will be extra for both of these boys.

Sometimes it is hard to see how God is at work during events like this, but sometimes it isn't for us to completely understand His plan.

If God were small enough for our minds, He wouldn't be big enough for our needs.

It kinda scares me because I had two seizures. Both during my sleep and my sister heard me from the next room. MRI's and Catscans taken and thank God, they were just random and shouldn't happen. They eve nsaid that if I get another one, I don't need to go to a hospital.

Tough situation. Add my prayers to the list. Along with everyone else here, I hope the young man fully recovers.

Any updates this morning? Still weighing heavy on my heart...

Our prayers are certainly with Ben, his family, and his friends.

My son visited Ben's family at the hospital last night and Ben was being kept in the coma with medication. We learned that it was cardiac arrest, not a seizure. It happened in the middle of the night and the dog noticed something was wrong with Ben and woke up his younger brother, who woke their mom. Ben's mom is a nurse and performed CPR but they do not know how long his brain was deprived of oxygen.

Tomorrow morning they will try to bring Ben out of the coma and assess his condition. His family is relying on the Lord to continue to protect and heal Ben, as they said it was surely God's hand, not just a smart animal, that woke them at 3:00 a.m. Please continue to pray for Ben's recovery and for his family (mom, dad, and a younger brother and sister).

Julie - Ben and his family will continue in my prayers. What a difficult time with the not knowing what lies ahead. May God be with all of them.

I always feel that God gives me stories such as these to make me realize (once again) how grateful I am for my own blessings. This story has really touched me... will continue to pray for healing.

I promise you there will be prayers coming from my house this evening for Ben. It is in God's hands and with all of these prayers coming, they will be answered.

I don't want Ben, and his family to get overlooked. So, I waited a bit to post with the idea of bumping the request for prayers, hope and every positive thought back to the top. Ben and his family, and the needs for prayers and positive energy, need to be at the top, I think. I hope today is a better day than yesterday and tomorrow a better one that today.
