I would agree that the west (which include TX and AZ) does beat up on each other and the teams left standing move on. I would really like to see more of the west teams heading east and many of the east teams coming this way for the post season, but as others have said it does become a money thing, cost of travel and gate $$.
I can remember a few years back Cal Poly SLO got the snubb in the selection process, but teams with a 19-34 record or so are moving on. SLO would have clean house on most of the teams in the post season that year, they were tough.
Hopefully the post season gets a little more variety. In the end(the college world series) I believe we should see the best teams playing.
Polls are what they are and they are diiferent. BA is different from CP and I am not sure if that was a PG poll or just info on the teams. Never the less
all polls have some gift rankings in them, but it will all go out the door 3-5 weeks in the season.

Some of us oldies out here on the Left Coast think that the PG CrossChecker staff really are the best at what they do as they recognize quality teams when they see them. That #21 ranking seems quite fitting to me, but then I have my biases as we all do.

Only 9 west coast teams in the top 50? I thought y'all could play out there. At least they got UCR right.
I have absolutely no clue where teams should be ranked, especially before they play a game. That said, reading some team profiles, the PG Crosschecker write ups appear very accurate and knowledgeable.
The Cajun write up on the money, except for my sons velocity, which is up from what they said.... I'm serious it really is!!.... I'm not kidding either.... It really is....

We just all beat each other up - huh O44?
Simple explanation...Coriolis effect.
OK I have to admit I had to Google that one Woody. You're saying that the ball always appears to roll to the right coast? Lets watch the movie....

No, no, no...not the ball...the rankings. They tend to get bunched up on the West Coast because of the Coriolis effect.
That was a nice video that you posted spizzlepop...I had no idea that was how they arrived at the baseball rankings...merely dropping a team's ball onto the rotating deck of a merry-go-round!

I will add to my previous post: I think PG ,BA, and the others a like do a great service for baseball. Without them who knows how popular our youth, college or PRO ball may be. I enjoy reading who's hot, draft news, what players to look for, THE RANKINGS and so on. So while we all have some opinion about any certain ranking, I believe they are appreciated. So a well deserved thanks to all the people and business' that put in the time to help make the sport better.
