PD _ Its a great question. Jungmann has won his last 26 starts in high school. Last year he was 13-0 and he has the same record this year. ANY high school pitcher can be beat, but it is a risk throwing your ace against him.
quote:So guys -- if you're coaching the Wolves, do you match up Flora and Jungmann? Or do you throw someone like Blumm in game 1 and take your chances in three?

I'm pulling for West, as the metroplex needs a representative at the State Tourney that can compete a little bit down there for a change in 5A.
And yes, Andrew Blum is the real deal for a 16 year old...there's no question to that. (Great kid too!). But, Georgetown has a LHP going to Texas and a RHP going to TCU left to start games 2 & 3. That's pretty tough if you ask me...

Ringer,
That rest of the staff that doesnt scare you has had a phenominal season. Miller shutout Klein two weeks ago and they are better than West at the plate. He did not have good stuff against Rowlett. McKirahan has not had control issues - not sure of your source on that one. He had control issues last week. Georgetown is in great shape with several really good arms left. And all that discussion about the Eagles not being abel to hit - 13 hits last night. ITs a good start
