Quite an accomplishment

I don't know what happened to the Summer season thread so I don't have anywhere else to put this but here.

Floridafan's son, Eric, just tied the Coastal Plain League hitting record. With a few more games to go he will become the All time hits leader. Man, this puts goose bumps up my back! This kid is a doggone stud and this just shows his dedication and love for this game.

Congratulations Eric and of course - Dad!

Oh, and he made the All-Star and is competing in the HR Derby!!

Thank you for your kind words! Eric really has enjoyed his years in Fayetteville. Although he was an All-Star last year, this year he is slated as a starter, so he is excited about that! This is the first year competing in the HR Derby though. We would love to be there but will wait until post season play begins so we can catch several games. There are about 17 more games in the regular season, so he should end up with a few more hits before his run is over.
