Now that the Texas High School coaches state rankings are posted as well as the DMN local rankings, let's here some comments. My thoughts are two fold. One, I think they are pretty accurate and two, I don't think they matter one bit -- other than pride. This is not the BCS; each team will have an opportunity to make it to Austin in June. I can't wait! Also, congrats to all mentioned for Player of the Week in the DMN, great job!

Hey Clemson, give us some info on Centennial's outlook. They seem to be a bit up and down lately although I know they have several talented players. DMN shows the bats to be hot -- pitching issues?

How do they come up with this stuff?? My son plays in the same District as HP, and Rockwall Heath is BY FAR a better team than HP. Don't mis-understand me, HP is good and is coached incredibly!! I predict Heath will beat HP when they play next week, and it won't be a nail biter! I will be happy to eat my words! It will be THE most interesting game in our District! Just to clarify, my son is not from Heath. I appreciate and respect both of these good teams!
Beast-- good to see some things never change. Of course the suite is available. I will send the limo to pick you and the rest of my Poteet pals up. HP will need all the help they can get on Tuesday. Heath is a great club with some very talented boys. It will be good if the Scots can just take it past the 5th.

Just saying---wow. Seriously? Let's see if your team has played them both, I'm guessing you are 1-3 in District? Get to .500 and I will start to consider the talent evaluation. Until then I would focus on the home front.

Tuesday will be fun. Should be a fun evening. All Tuesday does is set up a fun second run through District. And the Scots still have a tough game Friday against McKinney. Lots of baseball yet to play.
Wylie has played them both. A 5 - 2 loss to HP last Friday, and a 1 - 0 loss last night to Heath. Not really sure where the "Better By Far" comment comes from. They are both very good teams and should have a Barn Burner on Tuesday night. I will say that HP has a stronger 1 - 9 batting order, but Heath is still solid. Should come down to Pitching and who can stay away from errors.
Just Saying--- how is that talent evaluation thing working out for you?

Oh by the way HP beat Heath in a great game. Heath scores 2 in top of 7th to go ahead by one. HP scores 2 on a 2 out walk-off.

Second walk through District will be interesting. Congrats to Heath on a good game.

Just Saying--- how you guys do tonight? Just asking.

I heard yesterday the Plano ISD decided, due to budget cuts, that next year Plano schools would not participate in athletic playoffs. Not sure if that's true or not; but, if it is that's too bad. If that rule was in place this year, one of the top baseball teams in the state wouldn't be participating in the playoffs. Hard to believe that would really play out.
Anyone seen Just Saying? Awful quiet out there from someone who wasn't afraid to spout off before. Nothing? Just Saying, got some mustard for those words you promised to eat.

You were right, however, it was a most interesting and and entertaining game.

This will never happen. Too much money involved on the football side. Playoff games can generate revenue for school districts.
