Since most other sites do this, I thought I'd give it a try.

It would be nice to know a little background with all the knowledge going around on this board.

Maybe this might help the format......

Playing Experience- sandlot through 7th grade then I turned to football, lettered three years in hs.

How fast your son throws- Smile
Not fast enough yet but I like the way his ball moves and I'm even more impressed that he is learning how to have better control. Hitting spots and mound presence!!!
KG.

First off you didn't answer your own questions.

Second, call me a cynic (is that the right spelling Collikar) but I started my list, then stopped because I started remembering how many times, in the past, you have brought up playing experience vs real life experience on here as a way to negate what some of us have voiced/expressed/questioned and it made me stop dead in my tracks. I would hate to think that someday you might use the information we provide to your advantage/disadvantage.

So,,,,,,,,,,,,,I take the 5th, I have nothing to hide and those that know me know that by virture of being a female I don't have " baseball playing experience" but when it comes to the world of baseball I have spent most of my adult life supporting it in some form or fashion (coaching/managing/promoting/forming youth leagues) so I guess I am multifaceted and that is about all I can give you.......

And in the end I can tell you I do know the difference from a Jugs and a Stalker....

I keep my Jugs well hidden and hope I never have a hidden Stalker.

Oh, and one more little tid bit. I hold the record for stirring up the most BS on this site. But as noted, I offer my name for any to take challenge of accused bootleg opinions or facts offered.

And last but not least, I'm looking forward to what this site has to offer if and when my son plays amatuer baseball. Hoping that if and when he does play you all will certainly be around to give us the same useful information that is present today. Roll Eyes

Keepin' it real regards,

You know, my son played for the following:

6 Division 1 players, one with a National Title Ring
4 Minor League Players who played up to Triple A, one of them who made an appearance in the bigs.
1 Major League Player with a World Series Ring and an All Star Game appearance who also managed an Independent Minor League Team.

He has taken pitching lessons from a guy that played 15 years in the bigs and hitting lessons from a guy that spent a lot of time in the minors.

And they are all just regular guys who shared thier knowledge without thumping thier chests like they were the only one that knew how to coach or teach baseball........

By the way, I notice you're not really qualified to comment on college ball. Cool

We wore wool jerseys, and it was before batting helmets, too! I often wonder how different my life would be had I gone ahead and attended A&M!! All I know is God had a plan, and college wasn't part of it!

Changeup....those Rockwall vs. McKinney games were a blast. I remember those most of all the games we played. You guys gave us fits! It always boiled down to ya'll and us for the district title. Those were the days! I probably hit you a time or two also!

Well, in this particular case, a friend and long time business partner calls and asks me to attend the event to help out.

I threw that in there with a little tongue and cheek, as with most of my posts. Big Grin

To bad Kermit wasn't there. Big Grin
Ken,
I believe many people enjoy trying to solve the mystery of who people are in the forums. I frequently meet people at tournament games and one of the first things that always comes up is this website and the question "Who do you think so and so is?" Your thread is kind of like peeking at your Christmas presents before they are unwrapped. You might like to peek, but some folks like the surprise of finding out on their own.

I don't know Ken or his motivation for posting this thread, but I like it. My reason why is simple.

I'm a HS coach. In one thread on pitch counts I was told I was a coach who only cared about W's and not kids, and that it's a shame that people like me exist in baseball.

I want to know who holds these beliefs. If it's someone who been in a similar situation as me I might take their input better than if it's a bitter parent who has a very limited knowledge of the game. The kind who believes all coaches hate kids and simply want to further their prestigious careers.

This thread gives me a little more information in that regard. Therefore it's not a complete waste.

And before I get hate mail, there is no question there are some parents out there who know more about baseball than me. I'm fine with that. If I had a parent who genuinely knew more about the game with I would want to sit down and talk with them. I like to learn. Wouldn't bother me a bit.
