I’ve never heard closed. Son talked to coach last week. I know Florence pulled out but that is it so far. Owls website still says exhibition in late June and games July 1. Large roster.
Well one week down at GP. First week was mostly drills, they had a "showcase" Saturday and then the "draft" to make teams Monday then a week of team practice. So far so good.
So they have started playing baseball. The kid had scrimmage games yesterday and today. Was really nice to see him come home excited about baseball. He talked like everyone on his team hit the ground running, helps that he has no small amount of Louisville/IU players on it. I can't say how much I appreciate those involved doing this. I understand they're making a buck or two....or three. That said they deserve it.
The kid told me today this is the highest level of pitching he's seen. Most kids hitting above 90. Some mid 90's. Lots of scouts.
