My son committed to Berry (D3) last week. Mom and dad could not be prouder. Note to kids and parents starting this recruiting journey - GRADES MATTER. At many places they can be the determining factor as to whether the coach likes you over someone else with the same or maybe even better skill set. Thanks.

That's wonderful news, Preston! Congratulations!!!
To your point about grades mattering: Of course, it's significant that they matter to the Admissions Office; but, for many coaches it's even more than that. They know from experience that the maturity and perseverance reflected in consistently high achievement in the classroom makes it more probable that they'll have the characteristics it takes to succeed in the tough environment that is college baseball.
Again, congratulations!
Congratulations to your son and the entire family.
Preston,
Sweet! Congrats to the whole family.
Congratulations & Good Luck this spring, you will enjoy it with the load off.
congrats!!!
That is great to hear Preston. Congratulations to your son. I am sure you could not be prouder.
I have watched your son's recruiting effort through this board and over at D3boards.
That's two recruits from here that will be playing in the SAA, Selkirks son at Rhodes and now yours at Berry.
I love this time of year, as many players find a spot and start their Baseball journey.
Awesome news Preston! Congratulations!
Yep - we have two HSBBWer's sons now in the SAA. Congrats to your son and family!
Congrats to you and your son. Its a big step in life. Your are correct that grades matter a lot unless of course you have uber talent. Good students make the coaches life easier and anytime you can do that its good for the player and coach.
Great news-Congratulations
Hopefully- we can cross paths this next year when Berry plays Rhodes. Should be fun.
Great school and a beautiful campus. Congrats! However, I must admit that the human mind works in strange ways when putting together sentences and, when first glancing at the topic, I read it as "SON COMMITS ROBBERY," and thought "how sad."
Congrats! That is exciting!
Congrats to your son and the entire family ! Fantastic news
Well done... enjoy !
It is a beautiful campus. We were there a few years ago for a basketball camp and I loved the area.
Awesome!
Congratulations! Your son is one of the fortunate few that get to play at the next level!
