HVbaseballDAD,

Last nights game was actually well pitched on both sides, I thought. Felix Dubront pitched well enough to win IF he had an offense to help him. Phil Hughes had no trouble throwing it by the Red Sox hitters. if I'm sitting at home and know the fastball is coming with two strikes, I like to think there is some thought process by the Red Sox hitters that they know it is coming too.....I would be very wrong.

I think the Boston team would have been better represented by Pawtucket last night. Pawtucket won the Governors Cup for AAA last night. First time in 26 years. Hopefully, some of that talent will emerge very quickly.
If you remember my post on Sox prospects in my projected 2014 lineup, the Sox are loaded with top prospects. Even below AA they're loaded.

I don't believe the Sox made the big trade to help the sale of the team. It was the only way out of the ditch from an operations standpoint. I was reading an article on the Yankees yesterday. They may be in the financial ditch over the next few years regardless of how much they spend. They have some aging players with huge contracts.
