Summer Program Coach

It depends. You may get 500, you may get 2,500. It all depends on different things such as the team, location, budget, etc..

As a parent it is scary to see this question on a public forum---

TR, I would assume you would have a lot of experience to draw upon to answer this question.

Why is it scary? Don't parents know that coaches get paid?

I know of programs in which the HC is given $8,000 for eight weeks of baseball. Most HC's give some of it to two assistants and a third assistant is unpaid.

It normally works out to the HC retaining $4000 and the two assistants splitting $4000 one way or another.

I know of a coach in 10U fastpitch - $60k for the year

No bad intentions here. you were right on point ID'ing me as a team organizer wondering how much to offer a coach. We have a qualified coach ready to go and want to make sure we are fair with the amount we give him.

Why not simply ask him what he wants in terms of payment? It may be less than you think. If it is beyond your means you negotiate
