Mr GM whats the scoop on the draft since its next Tuesday. Theres got to be rumors flying around the shop deep inside of Dbat walls. Can't wait to see what happens to some talented young men around DFW.

I could tell you with reasonable certainty what's going to happen but I've been sworn to secrecy. coolgleam

Actually, we'll be in a bus on our way to Denver when the selections begin on Tuesday. Should make for an interesting trip. With the draft and UIL State finals next week they sure didn't do the Texas teams any favors by having the AABC World Series Qualifier this early.

Best of luck to you and the Wildcats this weekend and the rest of the summer. If you're going with them to Colorado I'll see you at a game.

@ Northwood Wood Bat Invitational:

DBAT 18....5/12/1
Blackhawks 17....2/3/3

WP - Zack Boles

DBAT 18....1/3/0
Oklahoma A's....0/2/1

WP - Donnie Williams

Was fun seeing the boys swing those DBAT woodies today. The game against the Oklahoma team was a quality win as that was one of the best teams we've ever had the opportunity to play in summer ball. A collegiate summer team, they were comprised of sophomores and juniors from Seminole, Connor State and other schools. You'd be surprised just how big 20+ year-olds are compared to 17&18 year-olds when they're on the field together. Stuart Slakey and Donnie Williams pitched lights out in holding them to just two hits.

Shayne,

Everthing went smooth and any one team could have beat each other any game. I think we had 6 one run games. I do not believe we had one blow out. I talked to coaches from UPenn, TX Tech, SWest, NCTC, Navarro, Grayson, A&M, DBU, and a couple other JC's. Now you are in charge of the next one and I hope you get as sun burned as I did. Cade
Shayne this was really a fun tournament eventhough I could not use the XH, Smile, just kidding. It was really competitive and no one got out of line with their competitive juices. It's really going to be a competitive summer in North Texas. Like Cade said, there was no sure win when you stepped on the field in either game; our DBAT 17 had 4 one run games. Thats the way it should be. You did good with this one. Now if we can just get all these same teams in the same league. Call it the "Shayne Revolution Super 18U".

DALLAS TIGERS in Denver, CO for Connie Mack Division of the AABC World Series.

Top Players:
---------------
Blake Beavan - 2-Time AABC Mickey Mantle MVP
Cole Green

These two USA Olympic Pitchers went Back to Back in game 2 in the 6th inning to give Dallas the lead at 5-4. Blake hit a 430 ft 2 Run Homer to Deep Left Ceneter, followed by Cole Greens Solo Blast.

What a difference a Team makes. These kids have always played so well togther.
