Texas A&M Chorpus Christi

I know some about A&M Corpus Christi.

New coach hired this summer, Scott Malone. Have heard good things about him.

School has a pretty good reputation academically. Made Princeton Review list for its Business School. Beautiful campus with its own beach. Nice town. Good seafood.

They play some games at the new Corpus Christi Hooks (minors, AA as I recall, owned by Nolan Ryan) Whataburger Field. Very nice, brand new complex. They also play some games on another minors field in Robstown. Also a nice field.

They are in the Southland Conference, in the tougher division with Sam Houston, Texas State, UTSA, UTA and Stephen F. Austin.

They struggled this year, needing pitching.

Did forget to mention two things that may or may not enter into your consideration. The campus is short on dorm space, and the dorms are owned/operated by an outside contractor rather than the university.

And should a hurricance hit Corpus, that campus is history...

I have a friend at Corpus in his senior year. He likes it a lot.
I agree Coach malone is a great guy.
