With Mags out, Delmon Young has been reactivated. Offense is going to have to step it up. I like the Tigers chances today.

It's really fun to be a Detroit sports fan here in good ole' Texas.

I don't know what I'm more excited about. Tigers or Lions.

Not sure what reactiating Young will do. He's surely still not able to play. If Holland throws anywhere close to how he's been throwing of late, Texas will be in great shape. The other thing to think of is Texas bats are likely to come alive at some point. Young, Hamilton and Cruz are not going to stay quiet for ever......

Looks like Young is starting. Apparently the injury was not the Oblique. I agree though......not sure what he will be able to do. Holland doesn't scare me. Texas' line up scares me.

How can Young go from being scratched for the whole series to starting today because of what happened to someone else? That's a real commentary how how weak the coach thinks his bench is....maybe also an indication of the heart Young has (or doesn't).

Rules allow for any player (not on that 25 man roster) to substitute for an injured player at any time. Playoff rosters change from series to series.

I realize that TPM. I was referring to the fact that he was hurt so bad a couple of days ago he was out this whole ALCS. Now all of a sudden he's starting. So maybe he went to a miracle healer, his manager made a bone head move, or he's he wasn't really hurt so bad...which makes you wonder about him.

I don't know, yesterday a pitcher on the cardinals was placed on the roster after being out for months.
So was another pitcher that played all year, but didn't make the roster for the Phillies.

Not sure but this time of year every spot is precious, maybe he needed some time off, they could have brought him in anytime if someone was injured.

Doesn't make sense...we're talking days here. When was the roster set for game 1...3 days ago? And he was out for the series if not for this injury...then today he's playing? Either the Tiger's skipper doesn't know what he's doing (which I don't think is true), there was an inaccurate read on the extent of the injury, or the skipper has no faith in his bench...to the point he would rather take a one armed man.

And Cruz now looks hot again....look out Tigers. He can carry a team for a while when he's hot.

Is not Adams balking when he pick up this front foot and put it back down two times

Cruz can flat out mash! That guy has been destroying the ball. Even the foul ball he hit before the grand slam went into orbit.

Things are going to be extremely tough for the Tigers now. Our big money guys have disappeared and they need to step up and start hitting the ball if we have any chance at this.

Not looking good for the Tigers. At least the Lions are 5-0.

I keep hearing about how much Texas' bullpen is being used due to the lack of the starters not making it past the 5th inning. In 2 games the most amount of innings was Scooter yesterday with 4 and he's not scheduled to go again soon. What about Detroits bullpen or lack of.

When a good team gets hot, you are in trouble. Texas is playing so free and easy and with the confidence that they will not lose.

Then you look at the Yankees and Red Sox and it just looks so UNFUN out there for them. It is not an accident that Texas is flowing right now. They have an owner, Manager, and culture that allows for it.

Verlander's curve ball is sick!

What exactly were they trying to stir up trouble about at the end? Something about Verlander glaring at Cruz?

They were trying to say Cruz motioned to Verlander with his hands 100 as in the mph of the pitch hit out. Then they were trying to say Verlander saw it and was not happy about it. From what I saw Cruz was motioning to a team mate and not to Verlander and I didn't see any reaction from Verlander. I think TM is a clown and was trying to stir something up himself.

By the way I loved when Kinsler led off the game with a DBL and then Andrus was trying to bunt him to 3rd TM says "Texas is trying to put a cheap run up on the board early." Now how in the world is bunting a runner over to 3rd with no outs trying to get a cheap run? I am telling you for a guy that played in the ML's it amazes me what he says. He talks like a guy who never played the game on any level.

That's what I heard too, Coach May. TM's leaking brain cells.

Did anyone catch when TM said what a hard call it was for 3B umpire (fair or foul) when Miggy's ground ball ricocheted off the bag and over Beltre's head? My son laughed in disbelief and asked if that was the guy I said always says something stupid.

Yeah, I noticed it right away. It hit the bag. Fair ball. Not too tough.

TM helped me realize what a good analyst Terry Francona is. I was really disappointed that TM came back, I was enjoying the insight offered by Francona.

What about the incessant talk about Justin Verlander's pitch count. There were times where we were treated to total pitch count after EVERY pitch. I think most of us can figure out that if the last pitch was number 97 this one will be number 98.

Just your average 9 run third inning with Ogando and Feliz still in the bullpen. Go Rangers.

Does MLB have a run rule?

Why can't the games end after two innings?

Oh well. Better get to bed. Have two games in South Grand Prairie in the A.M.
