This is a pretty strong field. Were the sides constructed randomly, or was some thought put behind it. I wouldn't think Schaumburg would want to being playing Benet in game one and then the winner of NT and NC. I assume its random?

Anyways, looking at my schedule I notice we (I play for Stevenson) play Naperville Central on that Friday the 7th. They sure aren't shying away from competition!

my understanding is Benet or Schaumburg would face either Clemente or Jacobs in the 2nd round and then they might face NC or NT in the third round action.

After Pleteau does jacobs have any pitching?

Next to the state tournament, this should be the best three days of baseball all spring. Great venue, great teams, well-run. Can't beat it.

Dont rule out Lake Park .They got to championship last year against Lockport.Had a few injuries to key pitchers, which hurt them.It will be a tuff task against Carmel.Should be good baseball all weekend.

Hopefully with workable weather we will again have a high quality event. I would say every part of this event has been well thought thru, especially match ups which were decided in June.

JArthur, This is a very strong group of teams you have in this tournament. I am sure you worked very hard putting this together.Keep up the good work!

Coach Waddy the Lancers thank you for your support. This year's team should be fun to coach. They are working hard, having fun, are smart, and great kids as well. I know they are already excited about this year's tournament. It was a great opportunity for us last year. I know Carmel is tough but we will play hard. Thanks to JArthur for all of his hard work.

How fast does Pleteau from jacobs throw??

Pleteau is a good pitcher...throws hard enough but is a complete pitcher.

I don't know about upper 80's. There are only a few that work there on a regular basis.

my bet is on NC with Bates and Kyle Kaminska on the mound, but playing Stevenson on Friday is going to hurt their chances, five games in four days is going to takes it toll on NC though

lake park is going to have a solid club this year.. Power up and down the line up..Look for some LP to swing some Big Sticks in that tourney and thru out the Season. Look for them to go deep in that Tourney

who does Lake Park having comming back this year? I thought after losing Greene and Burdi that they would be a bit down this year

we have senior catcher Anthony Carioscia coming back off an Upstate Eight All Conference Honerable Mention year..We have A bunch of Seniors Who stepped up over the summer with some Juniors that Will do Big things. Look for Seniors Mark Stoeven, Dan Haas and Derek Klinetobe to do big things this year and For Juniors Kevin Lange and Andy Sawicki to make big contributions as well. I was ineligible the last 2 years but i buckled down this year and I had a big summer for LP so Im excited to go out and Prove what I can do As well

Also We have a transfer from Roswell High in Georgia. His name is Zach Greenberger and he is a solid player. He hits the ball well and is a very good defensive player as well. All around stud

Elk Grove plays Lane Tech on Wednesday, April 5 @ 4:30 at Alexian Field, but it is not part of the tournament.

just got back from the benet/schaumburg game and connor powers went deep twice...i beleived everyone when they said connor was the real deal but i had to check it out for myself....now i am 1000% sure this kids the real deal...pitched 5 innings of shut out ball and hit two monster bombs....congrats to him and signing with mississippi st

Great day of baseball at Alexian!

Benet looked very good, Power's hit and pitched well. Doyle at short-stop turned 3 double play's and hit well. Love the Stadium, I think it's nicer than Kane County.

I know it is early in the season, but it would have been nice to see Colin face new trier. Kyle pitched well last night! but having possibly 4 games in 4 days is tough to set up pitching. hopefully NC responds well against Lake Park or Carmel. It was fun last night.
