Can't beleive that no one here has mentioned anything about the game last night.
Baseball is an amazing sport, just when you think might have the game all wrapped up, someone comes along and bursts your bubble.

This one loss for the Rangers may well have cost them the series
Anyone else surprised we didn't see Feliz in the 8th? If you can use him for 6 outs in Game 1....even if he is unavailable for Game 2....you'd have to feel good being 1-1 with Lee pitching 2 of the final 5 games.
I thought it was ironic that in the pregame broadcast they showed how the Rangers left the infield grass long at three inches instead of cutting it down to a half inch, to slow down the grounders. That may have cost them the game, as Gardner's little nubber that he beat out to start the rally in the eighth would most likely have been an out if the grass was shorter and the ball had been fielded more quickly.
I won't go as far as saying he was stupid. But it was absolutely huge. It was a 2-1 count the hitter was in a good count to deliver. We will never know now how that inning would have turned out. Kinsler looked to me like he was just trying to get a great jump and got picked. It was bad baserunning but it happens.
I have seen bad baseball in these playoffs. Carlos Pena is number one on my list but there are others.
Nelson Cruz loafed the other night and should have been on third because he thought he had a homerun. Then he steals third that Kelly Shopach should have had him out by a mile but let the ball sail. Cruz scores. Why steal third with two outs? That seems like really dumb baseball to me.
CC Sabathia may have made the play of the game at home last night. He is a much better athlete than people give him credit for.

I also thought Nelson Cruz made a terrible slide on that wild pitch. He slid straight across the plate and made himself an easy target for the tag.

What exactly are people "putting on Lee"? Series is tied 1-1 and the Rangers #1 pitcher is going against the Yankees #3 in game 3 of the series. Are those not the facts of the situation?

Right now Lee is like it was when Koufax or Gibson were starting World Series games--their teams KNEW they were going to carry them to victory.

The bottom of the 9th looked like a Tampa Bay Rays game. It was pretty cool....from a Rangers standpoint. If I heard the NY talk radio show correctly today, tonights starter for NY hasn't won a game in almost 3 months....YIKES. Lots of bullpen calls tonight.
