Will be pulling for Josh, I wish I knew him better because there's obviously something very special about him. Beyond the things we already knew about.

TPM I'm glad you brought up Buddy. Buddy Glass is a kid I've always liked a lot. Been following him for a long time. He had a great sophomore year and a great career. None of which was any surprise. We knew he could pitch successfully at a very high level. Congrats Dad04... You done good!
Frank,

That's great news, and I love the photo of Josh on the Crushers website. Love the team name, too! Smile Keep us updated!

Big congrats to Dad04 and Buddy, that is a great accomplishment. We don't have one of those in our family yet (son with a degree) Wink so I can definitely appreciate the significance!

Frank - I just saw this post. This team is new and on the west side of Cleveland so it is not too far from me (about 45 minutes from my east side home). I'll make it a point to make it out and see him play. Hopefully, I can get his autograph Smile Perhaps you can send me a pm to let me know when you think Josh might pitch.

I noticed a kid named Arden McWilliams on the team and he is one who has crossed-paths against my son - both in high school and in summer play.
Will his adventure never end? CNN has contacted the team for a possible story. Eek

Assisted Living

Lake Erie Story

Believe it or not, he loves it there. Got his own kitchenette, washer and dryer, bathroom, internet and they bought him a flat screen LG tv.

He's always been great with kids and elders. I see it as another opportunity for him to bring joy to someone's life while enriching his own.

Continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Now if he can only pitch!

What a marvelous opportunity for Josh and his wife. To me, it just makes sense all around. I'm sure it will bring some exciting variety to the other residents. I imagine there will be some great stories about the game from decades ago.

I almost hope a better offer doesn't come around for Josh that would cause him to leave.
Hey, the way I look at it, it's FREE press. CNN and ESPN, way to go!

The object is to stand out at this point in his career. Some scout is going to be watching and say, "hey that's the guy who lives at the assisted living place" and take notice. I'll bet everyone knows who he is, and that's a good thing, IMO.

The old people write him motivational cards, tell him he better not get cut. Faiola is smart enough to know that things could be worse. Hey, he could still be with the Orioles.

That's true. He's not getting cut. His neighbors would be protesting out front of the ball park. Plus...he can play.
