When I think about Craig Biggio and the game of baseball - I realize this as a fan of the game.

In order to have the opportunity to see a player like Biggio - it is worth putting up with the Barry Bonds, Rafael Palmieros and Mark McGwires of the game.

Everything comes with a price IMO.

The price of following Craig Biggio and his incredible career is having to listen to - and read about - and watch the liars and cheaters like Bonds-Giambi-Sosa-Palmiero- McGwire and the rest of them.

Its like digging for gold.

You come up with alot of garbage most of the time - but if you stay at it - you will find the nugget occasionally.

You Go BIGGIO!!!

Just a stupid question. Are you sure that Camminiti did not contaminated Biggio at any time during his career? What about Bagwell?...I know, I know, I am speculating, but speculation is the only thing that you, me, and everybody may use to give an opinion. My point is: how can we trust any new hero without taking the risk of supporting a "cheater". Do you think that Ripken help him self with roids to keep his streak? I am sorry, I don't want to destroy the heros, but we are in so kind of confusion that we can not assure nothing.

Racab,

Barry Bonds is an admitted steroid user.
Jason Giambi is an admitted steroid user.

Rafael Palmeiro is a cheat and a liar. Caught red-handed.

Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa are cheats and liars.

Tough to swallow? Yes.

You can deflect that disappointment - by disparaging others - or you can face the truth.

The truth is - Bonds, Giambi, Palmeiro, McGwire and Sosa (to name a few) played us all for fools - and got their money regardless.

So - hack away at Maris - and Biggio - and Ripken.

But when you hack - never forget to include Bonds - Giambi - Sosa - McGwire and Palmeiro in your hacking.

They will always be the standard bearers for lying and cheating the game and its fans.
