Just a friendly reminder to make sure your sons hydrate all day long, not just when they are playing.

Know of 4 or 5 guys on construction sites the last few days that were taken to the hospital with Heat stroke.

I continually try to tell my son that the Dr. Pepper he drank last night will make it harder on him today, but you can only do so much with teenagers, they know everything.

Another thing on hydration. Be careful not to try to drink a couple of gallons a coupe of hours before the game. This can be just as dangerous. It also has similar symptoms as heat stroke. That leads medical personnel to treat with water and end up really causing damage or death. They should hydrate slowly, all day long.
ASURAMFAN: Shhhhhhhhhh don't let my son hear that.....

DBAT18GM: Not sure if it is a scientific fact but I have found that the colder the water the faster it goes through me .......(too much information....)so I drink it warm* because I have not found toooo many restrooms on the summer circuit that are not up to standard Big Grin

*applies to water only, not a Brit so the other beverages must be cold. Miss having games with/against Theygrowupfast as he was always good for a cooler in the parking lot. Smile those were the good oldddddd days.
