Since Sept. 1st my 2015 has been inundated with recruiting type emails. Many are very generic, several were very personal and you could tell it was sent just to him by the nature and detail of the email. The one below from a mid major D1 took the Cake.

2015 ( used first name),

Just a quick note to let you know we are very interested in you as a
prospective student-athlete.  We are replacing our entire infield with
2015 graduates for our 2016season.  I think you could be our guy.  Let me know when and if you
want to take a visit soon as I think it would be very much worth your while.  My information is below.

I hope the fall has been good to you.

Signed Head Coach

Sounds promising doesn't it?? Only problem is my 2015 is a LHP/OF LOL!

And not sure if this applies in this string - but my favorite is a D1 recruiter, after an East Cobb game asked that my son call him.  My son did - and he wanted to have him on campus, see facilities, etc.  My son politely told him that he had already been on campus 5 months earlier.  The coach said he didn't realize that - yet he was the one that set it up, met us on campus, etc.  Busy guys I know - but really?

We had exactly the same situation with a DII coach. Also, 2013 continues to receive emails from a couple coaches saying he's a top prospect . . . never mind that graduated in May and he's on the fall roster at a DIII.

I have to share that the DII school emailed us again today. It actually came to my email address - probably because I was the one who registered and paid the camp fee. It appears to be a new coach, so I took a moment to reply that they can remove 2013 from their database.
