Love that idea, but not on a railroad track or a train might run us over.......

One of the toughest things a young pitcher has to get used to is hitting batters. I have seen pitchers 17-18 yo that struggle as soon as there is a batter in the box. I have 1 guy in mind who is a beautiful pitcher until he has to face a batter. He is at a D! in his Soph year and still walks a ton of batters. His problem is that he is afraid to hit a batter. The 1st couple times my son hit a batter he was upset with himself but he had to get over it and not be afraid to throw CBs at the batter that hopefully tuck back into the strike zone. and FBs inside.
As I said my son and all other pitchers I have asked have never had a coach tell them to hit a batter.

When my son first started pitching and I was still coaching, if he hit a batter I would tell him to turn around and look at the second baseman rather than looking at the guy laying on the ground crying.
It still bothered him a bunch.
