Can someone explain why there is an underwear brand called Tommy John? And, why they would think it a good idea to advertise it on MLB network? I would think baseball players/fans would run the other way.

The company was founded by Thomas John Patterson. Tommy John the pitcher is now 77. He hasn’t been in the game for 31 years. Products are marketed to the 18-54 to demographic. I doubt anyone who was 23 in John’s last season relates to him unless they had TJ surgery. The company is very successful in the high end market. The company has grown 250% since 2014.
