The article mentions that Jimmy was 5'6" 120 lb when he greaduated hs and had no interest. It does not mention how much if any he grew between that time and his senior year of college when the interest began. Curious if anyone knows.

Had a teammates of mine in college that was about that size - we nicknamed him "High Chair" because he basically needed one every time we had a team meal!
Oh, I forgot to mention: he was the starting CF on a national championship team, holds the school record for walks in a season, and is currently a successful physical trainer after graduating college with a 4.0!
Most people are about as big as they choose to be...and this guy was a giant!

He was a senior draft and hit .188 in the short season summer league. He shouldn't have been given a chance for another season. Most would have been released.

He's about 25 now and playing at Vero Beach and hit a combined .220. Likely to get released this winter. Looks like an organizational player.

To put his name in a string with Jeter, Garciaparra, et. al., too much for me.
