If you only knew what you were talking about! there are plenty more talented kids in other high schools accross Illinois that you know nothing of and haven't heard of, and do not support you and your baseball teams & politics. There are plenty of underclassman that you don't know about and will never play for teams around the Illinois Area because of all the politics and mis-trust and dis-respect. There have been two many promises by people like you that try to run these so called "Elite Programs" that promise these kids that they'll promote them and help them get a College Scholorship. My kid was the best on Top Tier last year and was lied to about contacts and visits from Notre Dame coaches. I have heard everything from people like you, Top Tier and the Schaumburg Seminoles. My son will play for The Rawlings Prospects in #09. If I had a voice in Northern Illinois baseball, I would tell people to run, as fast as they can from the list of teams I mentioned above. Sorry!
Bottom line is if you are counting on a program to do all of the promoting for your son, you are kidding yourself. The only thing that you should expect your program to do is to play in showcases where he can be seen. After that, your kid needs to play well at the showcases and sell himself to the schools that he is hoping to attend. My son played for neither of the organizations that you mentioned, but he worked hard emailing coaches so that they would come and see him play.
"My son was the best player on Top Tier last year and was lied to about visits from Notre Dame." Hollywood 2, who lied to you from Top Tier and for that matter who announced your son as the best player on the team? There are alot of good programs in Illinois and taking shots at the team your son played on last year is silly. Did Top Tier lie to you or was your son just not getting enough playing time? Either way you weren't happy so you moved on this year to something different.
