not sure, but i think i would rather be the first one, i don't know why.. it just seems like the kind of player i am, although i do have power in my swing, i would rather have a high bating average and have lots of steals....

i would rather b the guy who can hit .400 and steal 50 bases... there r not many people like that ne more and its more like something i could do

i say number one cause hitting .400 and stealing 50 bases your going to score runs as well as possibly knocking in a bunch.

Number 2 is the better choice because it is a question of who gets more money and fame. Ichiro or Sammy Sosa. Who is the bigger name?

Even though Raplh Kiner said, "Singles hitter drive Fords, home run hitters drive Cadillacs.", I'd much rather get on base and be fast. What good is hitting .270 when you could hit .400? The key question though, is how many runs does each guy score? That's the bottom line. It's kinda weird, I think, in basketball, the main stat is points, and in football, it's touchdowns. But not as many people care about socring runs in baseball. It's all about the basics for me, I guess.

Some of you guys need to read Moneyball. A great book that will certainly give you some insight on the world of baseball statistcs.
How do you win a game? score more runs than the other team. And every time you make an out you chances of scoring are dramatically decreased.
I could go on, but it would take a ******* essay and then some to explain it. But yankee clipper is by and large right on top of this one.

I would rather be the player who hits .400 and steals 50 bases than the other player. You will set up your team at a better chance to drive in more runs and that would make the team more efficient. And after all, baseball is a team sport. OH yeah, im 14 yrs. old
