Game was decided by six inches and five letters Y O U N G.
What a great game!
(It still ain't baseball)
PG,
Small disagreement on Vince. He is one of the few guys who when he scores a touchdown acts like he has been there before. He is maybe the best player I have ever seen.

Yep, I sign off when these things get vindictive and bitter...

Darkmoon,
Thats great.
My focus is on the great performances - not some hack writer or some talking head on TV.
Guess its all perspective.
I revel in watching great performances by the youth of America.
I dont revel in stuffing anything down the media's throat.
Just different perspective I guess.

The next team that wins 34 in a row will also be hyped by the media. Maybe that will be Texas!
"its"... as a TexasEx I have endured hours of USC hype declaring them the defacto champs... we deserve to crow! They even claim a national title they did not win three years ago when LSU won the BCS national championship.
TEXAS:
2005 NCAA Baseball National Champions
2005-06 NCAA Football National Champions
What's next... Basketball National Champions? Watch out ---- we are coming!
HOOK 'EM!

I don't blame any Texas fans for crowing tonight. USC is a great team however. Seems like they made more boneheaded plays tonight.
Natural,
Yeah - thats wonderful.
As I said - I thought there were some great performances by some of the players on both teams.
I really liked Lindale White - and Young and Leinhart were just awesome.
I also thought Carroll called some really poor 4th down offensive plays - and #31 for Texas was the real deal when it came to delivering some early hard core blows.
As for the media - I couldnt care less. None of them were on the field playing and knocking heads. IMO.

Reggie Bush is a first class act. Great interview after the game. Very classy....
Maybe it's just me... Guess I've never been named the MVP of a National Championship, so don't know how one should act.
Congatulations to Texas and Vince Young.
Guess I knew USC was favored by the media, but that same media played this up as possibly the greatest game ever. They were wrong about the winner, but right about the great game.
I didn't care who won the game and was kind of hoping USC could kick a field goal and tie it up at the end. Only to watch some more.

Until this one, I thought Miami and Ohio State was the best one I had seen. This was the best college football game I have seen. So many great players. We should inventory someday how many number one picks were in that game.
Where was Reggie? I am at work and only got to see the game in segments, but every time I got to watch it, Reggie wasn't in. His stats weren't very impressive either. Anyone got any input?
Just listened to Vince Young (class) interview on ESPN. Changed my mind... Feel much better about him now... I'm a believer... I love the guy!
Think NFL? or back again next year?

NFL - and a huge bag full of dollars.
A no-brainer IMO.
A no-brainer IMO.
I still can't believe Matt Leinart isn't in the NFL. What more is there left for Vince to prove in college? I personally would not risk it. I understand staying though.
Those that say the guy can't throw are crazy. His throw is not classic but effective especially when you throw it from a 6-5 frame. Lee Corso said it well. He is a 6-5 Michael Vick. I think a better passer than Michael Vick IMHO.

Cleveland - I sure as heck hope he will be better than Michael Vick. Vick throws the ball as poorly as just about anyone I have ever seen in the NFL.
I think Young is head and shoulders above Vick.

Reggie Bush didn't have a "great" game, but he still had over 270 total yards. It seemed obvious that Texas game plan was to smother him and they did a good job of it.
Vince Young had a GREAT GAME!

Its - I agree with your assessment. Ok I am going to make you all GM's right now.
Rate the three players on your board right now.
Here are my top 3 and some other from tonights game:
1) Vince Young (If I already have an excellent quarterback I take Reggie bush)
2) Reggie Bush
3) Matt Leinart
4) LenDale White
5) Michael Huff
6) David Thomas
7) Limus Suede
8) This list can keep going...USC's Recivers

9). Marcus Allen
I would go with
1) Young
2) White
3) Leinhart
4) #31 DB on Texas - that was delivering kill shots early in the game. Dont know his name.
